Privacy policy

1. Who we are

IQTestScale ("we") runs this website. Contact for privacy questions: privacy@iqtestscale.com. Company name and address: to be added before launch.

2. What we collect

When you take a test: your answers, how long each answer took, how often the test window lost focus, your device type and language, and your age if you enter it. No account is needed.

When you unlock results: the name for your certificate and your email address, which we use to send your results link. Payments are handled by our payment provider, which acts as merchant of record. We never see or store your card details.

When you use the AI coach: your questions and the coach's answers. To answer, we send your questions together with a summary of your result (scores and the questions you answered) to our AI provider.

When you join a league or show a score on the leaderboard: the nickname you choose, your XP and, if you choose to show it, your score, level and test date. These are public.

Technical data: your IP address and browser information, used briefly to protect the site from abuse and to keep it working.

3. Why we use it

To score your test and show your results, to process your payment, to send your results link, to run the coach, leagues and leaderboards you choose to use, to keep the site secure, and to improve how questions are calibrated using answers that are not linked to your name or email.

The legal bases are performing our contract with you (tests, results, payments), your consent (leaderboards, optional analytics) and our legitimate interest in running a secure, accurate service.

4. Who we share it with

We share data only with service providers that help us run IQTestScale: hosting and database, email delivery, our payment provider, our AI provider for the coach, and analytics only if you allow it. They may process data outside your country under appropriate safeguards. We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it for advertising profiles.

5. How long we keep it

• Completed tests that are not unlocked: 30 days.
• Tests that were started but not finished: 7 days.
• Practice answers: 30 days. Your league totals are kept while your nickname exists.
• Unlocked results, certificates and coach conversations: until you ask us to delete them.
• Payment records: as long as tax law requires.

6. Cookies and local storage

We store a language preference cookie and your color theme. Your browser keeps the private links to your tests, your practice progress and your league nickname in local storage on your device. Analytics cookies are used only if you accept them.

7. Children

IQTestScale is meant for people aged 16 and over. Younger visitors need permission from a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect more from them than their test answers and the details given when results are unlocked.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask to access, correct, delete or export your data, object to or restrict its use, and withdraw consent at any time. Write to privacy@iqtestscale.com with your results link or certificate code so we can find your data. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. The version published on this page applies. If a translation differs from the English version, the English version applies.
